North American Food Safety Mobility Program in Canada or Mexico Inactive as of Fall 2008 Fall, Spring or Summer Semester This program is designed to provide upper-level undergraduate and graduate students with an international experience in food safety training and research. Students will spend a semester abroad in Canada or Mexico and will be trained in a laboratory with host faculty, attend traditional classes or short courses, or audit distance education courses. Specific goals of the mobility experience are to give students international experience in food safety and cultural awareness; to facilitate the student's ability to gain hands-on food safety laboratory experience; to enable students to identify the cultural challenges associated with international agriculture and food production; and to give students an ability to assist with the development of an ongoing international food safety curriculum. For further information about this program, contact Rhonda Crackel or Cathy Weir.
