2007 International Opportunities Fair
Internship – Volunteer – Teach – Work ABROAD
Wednesday, October 17th, 2007
Noon - 5 PM
MSU Union – Second Floor
This fair is for students who have thought about or are considering…
-
volunteering, teaching, internships or short-term work abroad
-
an internationally-focused career
-
funding for an international experience
Nearly 50 MSU international units and external international organizations will provide information and resources about internships, volunteer, work and teaching abroad, internationally-focused careers, and funding sources for international experiences. This fair complements the semi-annual study abroad fairs, but will not showcase classroom-based study abroad offerings.
This is not a job fair so there is no need to register. Feel free to dress casually.
Complete a raffle ticket for a chance to win a backpack donated by STA Travel.
During the fair the following presentations will be given in the Green Room, MSU Union:
12:00 pm U.S. Foreign Service and State Department
Learn from senior diplomat Robert Smolik about international State Department internships and opportunities as Foreign Service officers and State Department civil servants
3:00 pm U.S. Agency for International Development
Learn from former Senior Democracy Office Mary Anne Walker about opportunities with USAID, an independent federal government agency that supports long-term and equitable economic growth and advances U.S. foreign policy objectives by supporting economic growth, agriculture and trade; global health; and, democracy, conflict prevention and humanitarian assistance.
